Greetings Kani, My question to you is what can an average american do to help? I have studied your people to the point that I am embarassed at the lack of attention my country has given to your plight. We left the Kurds behind on two major occations when we fought side by side. After military engaugements we pulled out and left the Kurds sitting in the angry aftermath. I can only imagine how your people suffered when we didn’t stablize your situation before we left.

The biggest mistake I see here is that dear Kani is generalizing all Turks’ approach towards Kurds as the current government. I’m married to a Turkish person and he constantly says that Kurds and Turks have been brothers and sisters. However, PKK has killed hundreds innocent civilians in Turkey mostly in Istanbul with bombs. Kurds and PKK are not the same. Is it seem just a coincidence to see that the so-called Kurdistan that is tried to built from parts of Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran constructs 6TH BIGGEST OIL RESERVED COUNTRY. PKK is trying to construct a country out of blood for oil. My husband’s mother is Turkish, father is Kurdish. What PKK doing is to break such brotherhood but turn into hatred.

Also, I am wondering where he was actually raised, since there is not a ¨Kurdistan¨ is it Turkey, Syria, Iran or Iraq? As far as I understood, he was raised in Turkey considering his accent.

my good friend,it is wonderful to see Kurdistan receiving such attention,i recently ended 7 years of work in Iraq with a year in wonderful Irbil.I was on a team that built the new American embassy complex next to English village and the new airport.I wish everyone could see the magnificent progress in that part of Iraq, indeed, this holds the promise of a peaceful, prosperous Iraq if they only want it bad enough.I have a travel beg that i add every countries flag that I have had the pleasure if visiting, unfortunately I cannot find a Kurdistan flag anywhere, could you please direct me to some vender that has them available?
